Wambus Digs Deeper is the side quest for Wambus Troubleham.
Wambus believes that Bugsnax are plant-like creatures because they emerge from the ground and has been attempting to farm them as a reliable food resource for the Snaxburg community. With every new idea he comes up with, his doubt in his hypothesis grows stronger and with that his own confidence in himself.
Howdy, Stranger. I could use yer help with somethin'. See, nobody's figured out how Bugsnax reproduce, but I got an idea. I think I might be able to garden 'em. Grow 'em in the dirt like plants.
How'd you come by that theory?
Well, half of 'em look like fruit. But I reckon there's more to it'n that.

I've seen Bugsnax crawl out of the dirt that weren't there before, fresh and gooey-like. Seems promisin' to me. All I need to start off is a root and a fruit. Should be simple enough.
Roots and Fruits!
Wambus wants me to catch a root-like Snak and a fruit-like Snak to grow in his garden.
Objectives:
Plant a root Bugsnak in the garden.
Plant a fruit Bugsnak in the garden.
Wambus' garden has five empty plots that Bugsnax are able to be planted in. Filled plots are indicated by a dirt pile with Bugsnak eyes on top of it.

Once the Undergrowth! quest becomes available, an exchange between Triffany and Wambus takes place in Snaxburg.
Uhh, I'm just sayin', maybe your whole premise is flawed from the get-go. If Bugsnax aren't like plants, then no amount of elbow grease is gonna make this work.
