SnaxScope sticker Leaps in and out of the ocean. Needs to be caught mid-leap.
BefficaHappySticker I wanna have 'Snax on the Beach' ;0) [1]

Snaquiri is a Bugsnak resembling a tropical drink with an umbrella. It appears in Simmering Springs.

Strategy[]

Snaquiri can be found in the ocean, or in a small rock pool close to where the Orange Peelbug sign is. They leap out of the water, then pop out their umbrella and float for a bit, and then drop back down into the water.

The main method to catch it is to use the Lunchpad-Snak Trap combo. It has been confirmed that that was the method intended and one of the reasons Snaquiri is in the game.[2]

An alternate method is to use the Trip Shot to trip it out of the air. Another method is to coat it in Sauce while it is in the air to drop it down and stun it. If it hasn't been caught when the timer runs out it will burrow back into the ground and seemingly "transport" itself back, stunning itself once again in the process.[3]

It has also been proven that it can be stunned by anything blocking its way into the ground including you and your tools, but that requires great skill.

Design[]

Snaquiri are tropical drinks with the ability to float and stay airborne using their decorative umbrellas. Though it appears cycloptic, Snaquiri has two eyes, on opposite sides of its body.

Snaquiri's umbrella functions similarly to the bell of a jellyfish, and its behavior is said to make more sense with its "bug" basis if imagined fully underwater, as a "pretty loose adaptation of nature.[4] It is also to some degree based on a woolly aphid.[5]

In the commentary, Beffica refers to the lyrics of "Sex on the Beach", a 1997 Eurodance song by T-Spoon[6] which popularity led to it becoming the name of the cocktail of the same name[7] where Snaquiri takes likeness to.
