The Snakgrappler is a grappler tool used to catch stunned Bugsnax, grapple items with green crosses, and grapple sauce.
The Snakgrappler resembles a crossbow.
It is able to grab any light-weight interactable object such as basketballs and rocks, Snakpods and stunned Bugsnax.
It is also able to grab the Snaktrap after it has caught something, along with being able to grab Sauce from plants at long range, grabbing all of it at once.
As an indicator with what is grabbable, some objects feature a green mark (green to correlate with the Snakgrappler's colors). Objects includes larger heavier rocks and eggs, which will merely be moved and not picked up, bridge ledges, catapult levers and Bugsnax with crystallized Snakmatter covering: Pinkle, Aggroll and Pielobite.
Eggler Shells are light enough to be picked up by the Journalist, Giant Eggler Shells are bigger so heavy that the Journalist cannot carry them and uses the grappler to roll it their way. The Snakgrappler however has a weight-limit as it is specifically unable to reel in "Lost Items".
Additional Info[]
You are also able to grab the Trip Shot early by grappling it through the window. This causes the event of the Watchtower shutting down to happen immediately after Snorpy tells you to fetch it from the Watchtower.
Fiction[]
The Snakgrappler is engineered by Snorpy with the intention to help Chandlo retrieve his basketballs from high or out-of-bounds places. When meeting the two, Snorpy is distrustful of the Journalist and allows them to test run the Snakgrappler to win his trust. As per the Snakgrappler's intended use, the Journalist sets of with Chandlo to at his Dunkzone and retrieve his balls and also catch a Cinnasnail by using the Trap-Grap method. These tasks form Chandlo's Main Quest. After a succesful test run, Snorpy hands the Journalist the Trip Shot to test run.
While the Snakgrappler is engineered by Snorpy for Chandlo who it thus technically belongs to, the two have made no comment of the Journalist taking the tool on their journey, supposedly as the two agreed they can make better use of it in the field.
