Scoopy Banoopy is a large, aggressive Bugsnak resembling a banana split mixed with a giant water bug. It is found on Frosted Peak.

When broken, it splits into three different types of Bugsnax: Scoopy, Cheery, and Banopper.

Strategy[]

Scoopy Banoopy is aggressive, and will chase the player if it sees them. When it tackles the player, it will launch them into the air and freeze them. It seems to have a rather short attention span, however, and will quickly turn around and begin to leave if the player gets slightly too far away.

To catch Scoopy Banoopy without breaking it, the player must first thaw it by leading it into something such as fire or a Stewdler, then stun it by using the Trip Shot before the timer runs out. If successful, the player will then be able to use their net to catch it.

If Scoopy Banoopy walks into a flaming Trip Shot, it will instantly be thawed and stunned at the same time, allowing it to be captured. Be wary, as Scoopy Banoopies can go to the base of the Trip shot and destroy it if it notices it.

Trivia[]

  • Scoopy Banoopy is named Scoopy Banoopy because it sounds funny.[1]
  • Scoopy Banoopy's name was first known from an interview, and its appearance was not revealed until the voice cast trailer a month later. Until then, all that was known was that despite the name, it was not a Scoopy.
  • If a Scoopy Banoopy gets hit with a Scoopy's ice-cream scoop, it gets launched into the air. (Really high up)
  • Despite having two Cheery eyes, only one will pop out when it is split apart
