Rootle is a worm-like Bugsnak resembling a carrot. It is found in Flavor Falls at night.
Strategy[]
A single Rootle can be seen inching around in a circle in the inner part of Flavor Falls at night. If the player comes near Rootle, it will quickly burrow underground to prevent capture, leaving only its backside visible. It emerges from the ground once the player leaves its immediate area. Rootle will also run away from the Buggy Ball, though it will not burrow to hide from it.
If moved from its original range, Rootle will simply crawl around the new area, making no effort to return.
To capture Rootle, the player can set the Snak Trap in its path or trip it using the Trip Shot and collect it using the Bug Net.

Trivia[]
- In the gameplay trailer, Rootle is shown as Beffica's favorite Bugsnak, while her favorite is Weenyworm in the final game. This was done so that the quest's solution would not be given away by the trailer.
- Rootle is the second Bugsnak the player can catch in the game, the first being Strabby.
