Pinkle is a timid hermit crab-like Bugsnak resembling a jar of pickles. It is found natively in Flavor Falls, though one can be found encased in ice in Frosted Peak.

Strategy[]

Pinkles will pace along a stretch of river or pond. When the player or another Bugsnak gets too close, Pinkle's pickle legs will recede into their jar shell, where they cannot be captured with the Snak Trap.

To capture them, you must have obtained the Snakgrappler from Snorpy. You can use the Snakgrappler to pull their jar off, leaving them exposed for you to collect with the Snakgrappler or Bug Net. The former is recommended, however, due to them running incredibly quickly when exposed. A jarred Pinkle can also be coated in cheese from the Sauce Slinger, causing a Green Lollive to snatch its jar away.

Alternatively, you can catch it by coating it with ranch and waiting for a Sandopede to come by, knocking off the jar.

If a vulnerable Pinkle encounters an empty jar, it will wear it, even if that jar originally belonged to a different Pinkle. It will also wear an available Aggroll shell.

Trivia[]

  • A Pinkle is used as the basis of Snakwater.
  • Stone statues depicting Pinkle can be found in Flavor Falls, along with statues of Strabby. It is also depicted in Garden Grove's cave painting.
  • When it has its jar, Pinkle's eyes are on the jar, and it uses four pickles as legs. When the jar is taken, however, one pickle will take the role of Pinkle's main body, with the other three as legs.
  • Though capturing a Pinkle entails removing its jar, Pinkle will regain a jar in the player's inventory.
  • The green markings on Pinkle's jar resemble the Snakgrappler icon, further hinting at its capture method.
  • "Pinkle" may refer to winkles, sea snails whose shells are used by hermit crabs.
