SnaxScope sticker Climbs onto high walls out of reach, but will come down if it smells ketchup.
FilboHappySticker I heard we swallow eight Fryders a year in our sleep!

Fryder is a spider-like Bugsnak with eight long, French fry-like legs, two small fangs, and a paper sauce cup for a head. It is found in Garden Grove.

Strategy[]

Fryders can be found walking around on the ceiling of the cave underneath Wambus' farm in Garden Grove. When scared, they will freeze in place.

To capture them, their favorite sauces must be used to bait them into coming to the ground, where they can be captured in the Snak Trap.

Trivia[]

  • Some promotional graphics depict an early design of Fryder, where its sauce cup is red instead of white. It is possible the cup was originally depicted as plastic rather than paper, making the ketchup inside visible. This early design can be seen in-game in a photo in Beffica's hut.
    • There is an unused graphic of this early Fryder design in the style of Beffica's cave drawings, indicating it was originally considered as Beffica's favorite Snak.
    • Fryder was originally planned to build webs using its internal ketchup, but this idea was scrapped with the inclusion of sauces, and Fryder's cup became white and empty.
    • When sauced, not only will Fryder's cup be covered in sauce, but the inside of the cup will be filled as well. If sauced with ketchup, Fryder will strongly resemble its early design.
  • Filbo's description of Fryder is a reference to the widespread misconception that humans swallow spiders during their sleep.
  • Fryder's name is a portmanteau of fry and spider.
