FilboHappySticker They're a little shy, but that's okay! They just need some space.

Strabby is a ladybug/aphid-like Bugsnak resembling a strawberry. Strabby is the mascot of Bugsnax, being featured in promotional materials, and having many major appearances throughout the game and trailers. The Journalist is accompanied by Sprout, a Strabby trained by Gramble.

Strategy[]

When undisturbed, Strabbies walk around in small ovals nearby to Hiding Bushes. If you walk too close, they will get scared and retreat in a bush.

To capture Strabbies, place the Snak Trap near where it is pacing, then back away and wait for it to come out of hiding. If the Trap is placed correctly, it will walk into the Snak Trap capture zone.

Fiction[]

When the Journalist is knocked of their airship , the fall on the outskirts of Flavor Falls, where statues depicting Strabby are placed. After they are knocked-out, a curious wild Strabby approaches the Journalist and flee when they wake up. After encountering a starving Filbo Fiddlepie, he tutors the Journalist on how to handle the Snak Trap, with a Strabby as the tutorial snack to catch. Once fed, the Journalist is confronted with Snakification for the first time, as Lizbert's invitation did not show footage of such an effect, and is a bit concerned.

The Journalist meets Gramble Gigglefunny not long after at Simmering Springs. Gramble has made himself a beanie in the resemblance of Strabby. He is taking care of two Strabbies (not native in this biome) who seem to feel comfortable around him. More importantly, he is training Sprout, an incredibly intelligent Strabby that learned to follow a laserpointer and is kept in a 'hamster ball' to perform its tasks. Gramble entrusts Sprout to the Journalist, as its skills would come in handy and Sprout would long for adventure. From that point on, Sprout accompanies the Journalist on their Journey and is a vital presence.

As the conclusion of Filbo's Cold Welcome, Filbo tries to close off the failed party on a high note by giving the Journalist a Strabby to eat. The latter optionally refuses due to their lingering concern. After being pressured by Filbo, they consume the Strabby and immediately falls ill. Fiblo diagnosis it as a possible allergy. The fate of the Strabby is unknown but it likely reverted back to Snakmatter and was thrown up by the Journalist.

At the Story's conclusion, a stowaway Strabby is shown on the Journalist's airship deck.
