The king of the jungle rolls Cheddorbs as an attack. Its lid protects its cheesey back
Brie prepared for a muenster challenge, or you'll get jacked until you're black-and-bleu. Gouda luck!

Cheddaboardle Rex is a Legendary Bugsnak resembling a cheese serving that serves as the boss of Broken Tooth.

Strategy[]

When Cheddaboardle Rex is summoned, it will pick up the Buggy Ball and throw it high into the stratosphere, preventing its use for most of the battle. Cheddorbs will roll into the arena from above, and the boss will throw these as projectiles.

For the first phase, the Ancient Lunchpads must be used to fight Cheddaboardle. First, the Snakgrappler must be used to clear the boulders blocking the pads, and the boss can then be baited into throwing Cheddorbs into them. Once locked in, the Snakgrappler can launch the Cheddorb directly at Cheddaboardle's lid, damaging it. After each hit, Cheddaboardle will destroy the Lunchpad used, and after two hits, the next phase will begin.

The second phase begins with the appearance of new Ancient Lunchpads, this time covered with piles of rocks. Cheddaboardle will begin throwing rocks as an attack in this phase. Shrink Spice must be used to shrink the Cheddorbs, which will flee into the holes of the rock piles, and destroy them after growing large again. Once this is done, the Lunchpads can be used as normal, and after two more hits, the third phase will begin.

The third phase begins with the appearance of two ramp launchers on either side of the arena. Cheddaboardle must again be baited into throwing Cheddorbs into these launchers, but unlike the grounded Lunchpads, they will not aim on their own. The Cheddorb should be launched after Cheddaboardle finishes throwing rocks, as these rocks will block the shot. After two hits from these launchers, the Buggy Ball will finally return from the sky.

For the fourth and final phase, a large maze will appear on a wall of the arena. The Buggy Ball must be guided through this maze in order to get to the final launcher, located in its center. All the while, Cheddaboardle will continue its attacks to disrupt the player. Once the Buggy Ball is launched at Cheddaboardle, its lid will shatter, making it vulnerable to Shrink Spice. With the lid shattered, Cheddaboardle will run around while constantly throwing rocks and will not stop until it has been hit with the Shrink Spice. After being shrunk, Cheddaboardle must be run over with the Big Buggy Ball or tripped up with the Trip Shot, and it can then finally be captured in the Bug Net.

Like other Legendary Bugsnax, its capture location will host a statue of its likeness that can be interacted with for a resummon.

Design[]

The name Cheddaboardle is a combination of Cheddar Board and Beetle. "Rex" means Ruler. Cheddaboardle Rex resembles a dung beetle with Cheddorbs functioning as its 'dung balls'.

Most of its body consists mostly of seemingly "non-food" materials. It has six legs that resemble pronged cheese knives, bend at the part where the wooden handle and the metal knife meet as if it were a pocket knife. The wooden handle is its upper legs and connected to the wooden board torso and the knife end at the prong curve are its feet. Its torso base is a wooden serving/cutting board with its head at the handle. The rest of its outer torso is a glass dome with a glass handle on top. Served on the wooden board is a round cheddar cheese with a 1/5th piece cut out, along with a small bowl of tomato soup, a few crackers, and a couple of slices of cheese

When fully broken down, it has the cheddar cheese as its body and head, and remains having six pronged cheese knives for legs, albeit reduced in size.
