Allows you to pick up and capture Bugsnax that are stunned. |
The Bug Net is a Field Tool for capturing stunned Bugsnax.
Bugsnax can be captured as long as they are not frozen or on fire / elementally-neutralized (Doing so will make you freeze or burn respectively) or non-stunned Bigsnax. It is also used to capture Snakpods.
It is given to the Journalist by Wambus during the tutorial to catch the Bungers that are "too wily" for the standard Snak Trap.
Unlike the other bug catching tools, the Bug Net cannot be used or held freely. It only becomes usable whenever near a stunned Bugsnak or a Snakpod.

- It is referred to as "Handnet" in the files.
- Merchandise depicts Filbo with the Bug Net likely because the various artists base their work on the Game cover artwork. Filbo does not provide The Journalist with the Bug Net (Wambus does) nor is he ever shown to handle it in-game. Part of how Bugsnax markets itself is by giving misinformation on what to expect from the game so it might be intentional. If so, the merchandise is not meant for fans of the game but for people unfamiliar with the content.
