Buffalocust is a grasshopper or locust-like Bugsnak resembling boneless buffalo chicken legs, with chicken wings that function as wings as well as legs. They are found in Sizzlin' Sands.
Strategy[]
Buffalocust flies in a looping path and dives out of the sky at anything that comes close in contact with it. When it sees ranch dressing or hot sauce, it will dive into it and hop on the ground for a short time. This dive can be used to attack other Bugsnax, for example, to break an Eggler's shell, or to destroy fragile ground and reveal secrets.
- Get it stuck in a Flapjackarak's tornado, which will both knock it down and extinguish its flame.
- If close enough to the Sodie D at the oasis, the Sodie will spray water to extinguish it, also bringing it to the ground, enabling the use of the Bug Net. A method of getting Buffalocust to follow you is angering it by launching a sauce at it that it dislikes, causing it to follow you until it can attack. Another method is putting a sauce it likes on the Buggy Ball and luring it to the oasis.
