Bombinos are an explosive Bugsnak that can only be found in Sizzlin' Sands during and after the encounter with Mothza Supreme.
Strategy[]
Bombinos first appear when initiating the battle against Mothza Supreme. When Cromdo activates the Incherrito statue, ancient stone pizza cutters will arise from the sand, and using the Snakgrappler on one will cause it to destroy a sarcophagus, revealing a Bombino inside. When this Bombino is thrown onto the stone pedestal, it will explode, breaking the stone, while also becoming easily vulnerable to capture.
When returning to this area after Mothza Supreme is defeated, Bombinos will be present, but will now be on fire, requiring them to be extinguished before capture.

Design[]
Bombino is based on the larva of a case-bearing moth (family Coleophoridae) as well as a pizza pocket. In particular, it is based on the tendency of the filling to burst out when the pizza pocket is being heated. The pocket itself serves as Bombino's "shell", while its "main" body is a blob of filling, consisting of sauce, cheese, and seasonings.
Bombino's name is a combination of "bomb" and "bambino", meaning "baby". It is also a reference to "Totino's", a popular brand of pizza rolls.
