Journal sticker The winding tunnels beneath Snaktooth Island are filled with flesh and juice. It's Bugsnax all the way down...

The Undersnax (Queen's Lair) is a twisting, cavernous area underneath the surface of Snaktooth Island accessed via the ancient door in the Frosted Peak and can only be accessed during the final events of main story.

Every surface of its gut-like structure is made up entirely of Bugsnax parts, with various bits of food mushed together into a red-tinted, organic wall. There are red rivers running through the caves. While all Bugsnax are present within the underground, they are unable to be caught in this point in the game - reason being that The Journalist had all their gear break during their fall.

In the files it is referred to as the "Queen's lair" as it houses the Queen of Bugsnax, which is Lizbert during the events of the game.

The Journalist is supposed to follow Filbo but if they decide to take the other turn in the final tunnel, the Snaxsquatch will come run towards them as a supposed "jumpscare". Given the collision and violent sound, it is to be assumed it attacks them. The player is reset back in the location of the turn choice.
