Journal sticker A sandstone canyon with many secrets in its walls. Bugsnax that live here tend to develop a spicy kick!

Scorched Gorge (Desert Inner) is an area on Snaktooth Island that becomes accessible after completing the "Small Celebration!" main quest.

It is a canyon like area which once was inhabited by an ancient settlement, with structures that seem like houses and enclosed areas for the dead. The walls show paintings of Mothza Supreme, which was presumably worshipped. Other remnants of this civilization are pieces of pottery, and most notable, the skeletons of the ancient Grumpuses themselves. Triffany Lottablog considers it her archeological site for research, and has set up camp there after the events of the fight.

On top of the canyon, accessible by a wooden structure and stone carved stairs, are bridges and windmills. They are supposedly build by the current settlement of Lizbert's expedition team, as such wood structure would not have lasted for millennia. Cromdo Face has decided to set up his camp and Cromdo Mart on top of the canyon, without any wares to sell or any hope for customers until The Journalist shows up. He has claimed ownership over the bridge that connects the area to the Sizzlin' Sands, which he tries to sell, a launchpad stolen from Snorpy, which he tries to sell, and he refers to the windmills as "his" as well. In Spuddy's commentary, he states being in top of the canyon in fear of the Bugsnax aggression.

The desert area's alternative weather condition is a sandstorm.
